British Columbia health officials on Wednesday reported 342 new COVID-19 cases — including 32 on Vancouver Island — and no new deaths since their last update on Aug. 3.
The number of confirmed cases in B.C. is now at 150,973 while the death toll remains at 1,772.
Of the new cases, 171 were in Interior Health, 66 were in Fraser Health, 57 were in Vancouver Coastal Health, 32 were recorded in Island Health, and 13 were in Northern Health.
There are currently 1,764 active cases in the province and 55 people in hospital — 23 of whom are in intensive care.
A total of 147,409 people in B.C. have recovered from COVID-19 while more than 6.9 million doses of vaccine have been administered province-wide.
