EDMONTON, AB– Alberta Health Services has released their “modified update” on COVID-19 for Saturday, detailing statistics compiled over the past 24 hours from January 2nd, 2021.

Chief Medical Officer of Health Dr. Deena Hinshaw provided a brief overview of today’s numbers. It does not give a regional or community-level breakdown.

About 400 cases were confirmed across the province, bringing the total to 104,228.

As well, approximately 8,100 tests were conducted in this period, meaning the positivity rate has dropped to around five per cent.
