B.C. Hydro said in an earlier update that, at its peak around 2 a.m., the storm caused outages for about 28,000 customers on Vancouver Island, the Sunshine Coast, the Lower Mainland and the Gulf Islands.
Most got their power back after crews worked overnight, said B.C. Hydro.
