Dix added he wasn’t sure if the Air Canada case was linked to the downtown Kelowna exposure.

Public health contact tracing is underway and the health authority says it is reaching out to anyone who has been exposed that they know about.

Testing is recommended for anyone with novel coronavirus symptoms, including fever, cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, or a loss of taste or smell, says the statement from Interior Health.

“Milder symptoms may include runny nose, fatigue, body aches … diarrhea, headache, sore throat, vomiting and red eyes,” says the statement.

Anyone with even mild symptoms is urged to stay home and avoid travel.

As of the latest numbers given on July 10, there have been 3,053 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in B.C. since the start of the pandemic. Of those, 187 remained active as of July 10, while 187 have died. Still 16 remain hospitalized, as 2,679 are recovered.
