Passenger plane that landed at Victoria airport had COVID-19 on board - CHEK

A passenger plane that landed at Victoria International Airport earlier this week had COVID-19 on board. According to the BC Centre for Disease Control, there was a case of COVID-19 on board Air Canada flight 8073 that departed Vancouver and landed at Victoria International Airport on July 13. Passengers are urged to self-isolate and monitor for symptoms for 14 days. Additional details about the flight were not provided by the BCCDC. According to Flightradar24.com, AC 8073 was scheduled to depart Vancouver at 4:50 p.m. and arrive in Victoria at 5:19 p.m. on July 13. B.C. no longer directly contacts passengers who were on a domestic flight and seated near a confirmed case during the flight. A total of 11 domestic flights and six international flights have had cases of COVID-19 so far this month according to the BCCDC’s website. CHEK has reached out to representatives with Victoria International Airport and Air Canada for comment but has not received a response.
