TTC, union reach a settlement framework, avoid strike - Toronto Star

Toronto narrowly avoided potential commuting chaos — for now — after the TTC and the union representing its front-line workers reached a framework settlement late Thursday on a new contract.

“It is a tentative deal. We just need to cross the Ts and dot the Is,” said TTC CEO Rick Leary. “You can imagine there’s a lot of wording that has to be confirmed. But that’s a normal part of the process.”
