RECALLS: Children's sleepwear, quilts, stoves, and chips recalled in Ontario | insauga - insauga.com

This week, residents are asked to check their homes for clothes, household items and food products. Some pose injuries such as burns and lacerations, while others may be contaminated with bacteria that can make you sick.

LFC Blippi Long Pyjamas

The recall involves 20 different Liverpool Football Club (L.F.C.) branded children’s sleepwear items. Each item has a red neck label that indicates the size and “L.F.C.”logo. Additionally, a sewn-in side-seam label provides details such as the product code, country of origin, fibre content, and washing instructions. These sets were manufactured in Bangladesh, China and India.

20 clothing sets are being recalled. Here are the first ten:

According to reports the affected products do not meet flammability requirements under the Children’s Sleepwear Regulations.

Loose-fitting children’s sleepwear can more easily come into contact with ignition sources like stove elements, candles, and matches, and once ignited, it will burn rapidly, potentially causing severe burns to large areas of the child’s body.

The company reported that 89 units of the affected products were sold in Canada between May 2023 to March 2024.

Risks: Poses flammability and burn hazards.

What you should do: Stop using the recalled items and contact L.F.C. for a refund.

As of May 10, 2024, the company has received no reports of incidents or injuries with the affected products in Canada.

The issue with the items is pieces of broken needles have been found inside some quilts and quilted shams.

The company reported that 4 units of the affected products were sold in Canada between May 2023 to February 2024.

Risks: Potential laceration hazards.

What you should do: Discontinue using products and contact the company for a refund or replacement.

As of May 7, 2024, the company has received no reports of incidents or injuries in Canada.


Expanded recall: Frigidaire© and Kenmore Elite© Freestanding Electric Ranges

Example of Affected Range

This expanded recall involves specific models of Frigidaire and Kenmore Elite freestanding electric ranges with smooth top cooking surfaces, rotary knobs, and digital readouts.

Recalled products have model numbers starting with the specified combinations and serial numbers within the listed ranges. The model and serial numbers can be found by opening the drawer at the bottom of the range and locating the information plate on the right side of the frame.

The recall has been reissued and expanded to offer replacement moisture kits for affected ranges and provide alternative remedies for owners of older models where replacement parts are unavailable.

The company reported that approximately 54,230 units of the affected products were sold in Canada, and approximately 203,000 were sold in the United States between June 2001 to July 2009.

What you should do:  Individuals are asked to contact Electrolux immediately to schedule a free inspection and repair if applicable, or to receive an electronic gift card, depending on your model. If your range is not showing any of the issues mentioned in this recall, you can continue using it until repairs are completed.

The product is being recalled from the marketplace due to possible Salmonella contamination.
