There will be a test of the emergency alert system in this province this afternoon.

A loud test alert will be broadcast on radio, television, smartphones, and other electronic devices at 3:25 p.m. on the island and at 2:55 p.m. in most of Labrador.

The Alert Ready system is used in emergency situations that could potentially save lives.
