Most flights are moving in and out of Kelowna International Airport on time Christmas Day as airlines continue to move through the backlog of customers caused by several days of cancellations due to extreme weather across much of the country.
Only one outbound flight, an 11 a.m. WestJet departure to Edmonton has been cancelled - that due to the cancellation of the corresponding inbound flight from Edmonton.
A handful of flights are delayed but the majority are listed as being on time.
This is a far cry from earlier this week when extreme cold and heavy snowfalls prompted airlines to cancel flights across the board leaving thousands stranded at airports waiting for a way to get to their Christmas destination.
Airport officials advise travellers or those expecting to pick up inbound friends or family to check with the airline before venturing out.
